* { font:inherit; }  Posted 1/8/03. Star's dam was a purebred German Shepherd, sire unknown. Because of her Golden Retriever like hair and color, we're guessing the sire may be a Golden. True to her German Shepherd heritage, Star tends to attach herself to one person and becomes protective of that person. She particularly seems to think that females need to be protected from males, so she would make a great companion for a female who is wanting a protective dog. She is also house trained and has good house manners. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes. She does at times display odd behavior (she yelps and runs when we reach towards her to pet her) that we have no explanation for, so we recommend that she not be in a home with young children. Star likes to chase cats and we think she would likely harm a cat if she were to catch one, so we recommend a home without cats or access to cats.Star is 7 months old (as of 1/8/03), spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, and up to date with all vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $90. Our available pet list is kept up to date.
