Posted 9/7/07. Charlee was one of a litter of puppies that survived being shot by their owner when a young boy saved 2 of the litter. Her mother was shot and killed by the owner, along with the remainder of her litter. Charlee's rescuer lived in a very small apartment with his mother and when Charlee began getting too big for their small space they called us. They tried to find her a home with neighbors but it didn't work out. Charlee is about 6-7 months old (as of September 2007) and weighs about 40-50 pounds. She is tall and lanky. The people that saved her told us her mother was a purebred border collie and that her father was a malamute...we can see the border collie in her mix, but don't see malamute at all. We think Charlee's father was probably some type of hound. Charlee is a good girl and can be trusted to stay in the house without destroying anything. She is well on her way to being house trained. Charlee is people and dog friendly and likes to run and play with other dogs. We brought her up to date with vaccinations and wormed her. Charlee is spayed and up to date with vaccinations and has been started on monthly heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $90. Our available pet list is kept up to date.
