Boxer - Large - Adult - Female - Dog - Bella and Gertie

Both girls are spayed. Shots are up to date (due in March of 2010 for both) and both girls are on Heartguard and Frontline. Both are chipped as well. Gertie (the larger) has been diagnosed with mild arthritis and takes med once a day for it. She's responded beautifully so this is not noticeable anymore. Other than this the girls have no health issues. Bella and Gertie are approximately 65 and 85 pounds respectively and are both solid fawn in color. They are approximately 5 years of age and housebroken. We have not used crates with them as they are inside dogs and have the run of the house. We have two other male dogs and they all get along great. We have not seen the girls around kids or cats and therefore cannot recommend that they be placed in an environment that has either. The girls are littermates and have therefore always been with each other. We would hate to break them up but if they had to be then we'd want for each to go to another home that had at least one dog for them to have as a companion. That or stay at home parents or could take them to work, etc. The thought of one of them sitting at home alone all day by themselves is not one I can hold in my head for too long. We are therefore shooting for a scenario in which they go together. That's how we adopted them... The reason we need to place them is that we are returning to San Francisco where yards are hard to find and if you can find one it will be small. We will be keeping our two other recues that have been with us the longest and it will be a tight fit with two as it is. Four dogs in a San Francisco yard borders on cruel so we can't do this. It wouldn't be fair to the girls or the two boy dogs... We would require that anyone adopting the girls allow them to be inside dogs and would have a yard where they could play. It must be fenced.
